Dear DYA717, Thank you very much for your thorough feedback. Since its location is very convenient, Sato-no-yu is popular and often used by day-trip travellers. In addition, for those who need to wait for the train before leaving Kinosaki, the footbath next to the entrance serves as a place to rest. More

Of all seven onsens in town, this one is definitely the best!! Large room and high ceiling, outdoor rooftop pools, sauna and steam rooms. The room alternates everyday - make sure to come back the next day to experience two different themes. Location is also right at the station!

Visited 5 public baths in Kinosaki. This one was best of them all. Almost didn't come here because it was furthest from our ryogan but luckily did. It has two floors and there was for example an outside bath, lots of different kind of saunas and cold room. This was the only bath where you could spend lots of time... More

located only a few steps from the train station, Sato no Yu is very generously built. It is large, has several saunas with different temperatures, a cold (inside) bath as well as a large inside bath. The outside bath is on the third floor, includes a waterfall and has stones at various heights to sit on in the bath. Outside... More

Great location (opposite the train station), huge bathing area which alternates sides for men and women each day, and a number of gorgeous rooftop rotenburos (outdoor baths). If you only have time for one onsen visit in Kinosaki make this the one! (Grab a great teppanyaki or shabu shabu dinner at Kyou at 79 Yushima across from the station while... More

Sato no Yu is one of the largest bathhouses in Kinosaki and the newest one. It as a number of sauna rooms that are not available at the other locations. My favorite is the "penguin room" which blasts cold air at you. Sounds terrible, but feels incredibly invigorating after a soak in the hot springs. They have three floors -... More

If you have limited time, Santo no yu is your best bet. It is the next to the train station and the most spacious out of all of the hot springs. There is an European theme and a Japanese theme and it alternates daily so you have to go on separate day to try both of them. The European theme... More
