If you have never been to a Japanese baseball game you are missing a great time and this stadium adds to the event. The home team has cheerleaders and plays music for every hitter. The stadium is full of people wearing team swag and the ballon release in the 7th inning is a whole lot of fun.

For beer lovers, you can bring in your own but they will pour them into paper cups as you enter the stadium. There are women with pony kegs on their back with multiple brands that you can buy in your seat.

The food is not hot dogs etc but not to be missed.

Get to game anywhere but If you’re in the area, this stadium is a not to be missed.

Koshien Stadium is known for High School Baseball. On the day we went to watch games, all entrance tickets were sold out. But after having stood in line for 2 hours, we couldn’t buy the tickets for afternoon games. Unlike many dome stadiums, Koshien is open air, and its ambiance is very nice.

The Japanese are passionate about baseball and the experience is something you must experience yourself! The balloons during 7th inning, the friendly fans and all the songs we sing in unity.....just fun!! Doesn’t matter which seats you get, because Hanshin fans are everywhere!

You can bring your own beer and get a cup right before you go in, you can save a lot of money doing so. I wish I had known about that! And you can also bring your own food, too. You can buy drinks and food but they are definitely overpriced inside!

We were a group of 8 visiting Koshien Stadium for the first time, to watch the Hanshin Tigers take on the Yomiuri Giants. The atmosphere at this stadium is absolutely brilliant. The crowd is so beautifully well behaved but also incredibly invested in the game. Make sure you visit the merchandise shop and stock up on the plastic sticks, balloons and other paraphernalia that will mark you as a true supporter. Each player has his own personal song that the crowd chants in unison when it's his turn to bat. The seating is comfortable and there are plenty of food options available. While the crowd is incredibly passionate it is also extremely polite which is a wonderful combination. We purchased our tickets in advance via an English website and picked them up from a local post office which made the experience very easy to navigate, and made sure we didn't miss out on tickets to the sold out game. Make sure you pick up all of your rubbish and put it carefully into the segregated bins when you leave.

Comfortable seats, great view from each one. Bathrooms are clean. Easy access from metro/train. Games are fun- even in the rain. Sake/beer girls are nice. They have a museum I was unable to visit,

This is a must do experience if you like sports at all. Japanese baseball is huge fun, and totally family friendly. There’s no aggressive people here like in other countries.
The great thing, other than the baseball itself, is the crowd. There are special songs for each player, and the whole crowd knows them all. So when a batter steps up the whole stadium starts singing his song, which is awesome.
I recommend you go to the team store first and get a pair of the plastic bashing sticks, then you can bash the rhythm out with everyone else! You can also get some of the balloons which get let off en masse at the 7th innings.
There’s also food in the stadium which is pretty standard, so hot dogs, chips, popcorn etc. There are girls walking around all the time selling beer at your seat, which is also fun.
The Tigers are one of the best teams in Japan so the game is typically really good too, and it’s not too costly.
If you go to the Koshien Stadium website there’s and English guide to buying tickets, which we did and worked pretty well. The only issue you might have is if you ask for 2 tickets in a specific area, they might not be able to find two free seats beside each other. That case isn’t described in the English guide but it’s not too hard to figure out.

Overall I couldn’t recommend this enough, please go, it’s brilliant

I went to the Koshien museum, tour, and a baseball game. Overall I had a positive experience, but it was a bit difficult as a solo traveller. The museum and tour were all in Japanese. They do give you a little paper with info on it, but it's not much. I think this is only for really big fans or who speak Japanese. I still enjoyed it though.
The match started at 18:00 but the doors opened and 16:00 so I went in then. Did not need to do that, because there was not much to do or look at for a long time. You can take food and drinks inside, but alcoholic drinks must be poured into cups that they give you at the entrance. I saw some people with trays so I suppose it's possible to take, like, four drinks in? I do recommend bringing a few if you want to drink though, because a beer cost me 700 yen inside.
The game was nothing interesting, the tigers played terribly. Some fans were really into it, some were just chilling.

I took my family to the match vs Yakult Swallows. For a thursday night i wasn't expecting a big crowd but it was almost a sellout.
We purchased our tickets online, collecting the tickets was so easy. We were in the centre- right outfield bleachers completely surrounded by season ticket holders, who were very welcoming and even gave us balloons for the 7th inning release.
I took my elementary age kids and they enjoyed it so much joining in the songs and all the buzz.
get a cap from the team store before going in and take a few beers with you too.

I am a massive Tigers fan and have seen them a few times in Tokyo but this was my first visit to Osaka. During the day I visited the History Museum on the south side of the stadium and did the stadium tour which was like a dream come true for me. The museum cost 600yen and there was a board outside for any stadium tours with the times they start. I did a tour of the 3rd base lockers rooms, dugout, etc and that was an extra 1500yen.
I visited for 2 games with tickets I booked using the QR ticket facility, the stadium was easy to navigate and the gate you enter is based on your seat name such as "Alpine" or "Ivy".
The atmosphere was fantastic and a beer will cost you about 800yen.
Protip if you are watching a game, when you get off the train at Koshien station before the game, make sure to buy your return train ticket then so after the game you can beat the queues.
