We tried to get the elevator, but they are close, pass the gingal old restaurant, we walk along the old pier port of Almada.
In the place of the elevator, are small garden, that you ken relax, eat or just simple see the view.

Excellent view point towards the Ponte 25 de Abril and Lisbon. When you leave the ferry at Cacilhas turn right immediately and keep on walking on the Rua Ginjal until you pass the restaurant Ponto Final. Then you’ll see the elevator. The view from below or above is truly amazing. When you’re above you can walk down to the ferry in Cacilhas. Nice walk, nice view, no real effort !

The elevator ride is short but you must see it as the best transportation to one of the spot to see Lisboa. The panoramic view is breathtaking special if you go there to see the sunset. The best path is to arrive at the top of the hill. Nearby to the rigth you will find two small and cozy restaurants.

We walked to the bottom of this elevator from the ferry station. We particularly liked sitting on the grass near the bottom of the elevator, it would be great for picnics.
The view from the top was brilliant and people were bungee jumping off the elevator when we were there.
The only thing I found a little strange was that there was no info about pricing (that I could see) at the bottom. When the lift opens there is an attendant waiting and they ask for 1 Euro per person. Totally worth it but seemed strange not to make this clear outside.

I walked there along the shore, it's a nice hike from the ferry terminal...turns out the actual elevator is closed at the moment (probably because of the current covid-19 restrictions) so I continued and followed the road going up, very much worth the climb, as the views from the top are fantastic!

If you come from Lisbon to Cacilhas by the ferry, walk along the river along all of the abandoned factories of Gingal with their interesting graffiti to the Panoramic Elevator of Boca do Vento. It mis fairly frequent. Once on top, you have a great view of Lisbon and Gingal. Wander through the old streets of Old Almada. Once you get to the street with the above ground metro, you can walk back down or take one of the many buses to Cacilhas (or take 101 bus to the Christ statue).

Opened in 2000, the panoramic lift of Boca do Vento allows to live a double experience, when we cross the river Tagus from Lisbon to Cacilhas. If after disembarking we continue towards the west, by the old quay, by the river, we walk 10 minutes until we find the access to this panoramic elevator, which transports us to the historical center of the city of Almada. The climb costs 1.00 euro and the lift runs daily from 08.00 to 24.00. From the top, we can enjoy the best panoramic view over Lisbon and this is a very worthwhile experience! As it is worthwhile to venture a little on a walk through the streets and alleys of old Almada, from the Castle Garden, right next to the exit of the elevator. In a corner of the garden, Moor the Rio is one of the most recommended restaurants to eat well while we delight in this view. Further down, at the Gingal pier, the options for "eating with a view" are two: the Ponto Final is the first of the restaurants we find after descending to the river by the elevator. And just after this one is the Atira-te ao Rio, old restaurant on a small river beach ...

We wandered along the river front from the ferry terminal and came across an area of green at the base of this elevator. A perfect quiet park to sit and watch the river and city. The elevator cost 1 Euro for adults for a round trip and at the base are toilets (free) for anyone to access.
The cafe at the top of the Elevator offers stunning views and low cost refreshments. A lovely way to spend a few hours relaxing.
There is one sign post outside to Christo Rei which we followed for 20 mins but gave up as there were no other signs and we felt we were going the wrong way. So we returned to the cafe. :)

This is a great place to have an excelent Lisbon view and if you go down the elevator it takes you to a very nice garden by the river where you can relax and enjoy the tranquility. I advise a visit

Surreal experience ascending the cliff with 5 kegs of beer destined for the cafe at the top, give this cafe a miss and visit the sublime Degostar cafe 5 mins walk from the top of the lift. Also check out the graffiti along the Riverside walk...really think I saw a Banksy along the way
