About
A beautiful vineyard nestled in the picturesque village of Shoreham and situated wonderfully close to Shoreham village train station which has direct links to Bromley, London and Sevenoaks. A 28 acre estate with 10 acres under vine producing 6 fantastic wines. Visitors are welcome to join us for wine tasting, drinks by the glass or bottle (beers, soft drinks and spirits too) and purchases of wines to take away. We also serve cheese & charcuterie (with pizzas and other hot dishes coming in 2018) so it is easy to enjoy a few hours in our lovely tasting room and courtyard with retractable roof! Also available for private hire for parties and celebrations.

Fabulous setting, really lovely restaurant. The service was very good from the moment we entered. We had Rose processo Lunetta , and then pizza with a lovely green salad .
Very enjoyable.

Nice but little restraint in getting as much money as possible from customer

A birthday treat for the wine tasting was most enjoyable but the snack lunch we shared afterwards was extortionate for what we had, especially after vat and service charge was added. Bottled beer £5 for a half pint!!!! Strolled to the Kings Head at Shoreham with normal prices and a very pretty setting with Sunday lunches at bargain prices. Wish we had spent our money there.

Nice but very overpriced
May 2021 • Couples
Recently visited Mount Vineyard. Very nice settings and grounds. Very polite restaurant staff. The only food available is either pizza or salad. The pizza are nothing great, very average in fact. The drinks are not cheap either. To be honest, it’s a nice place to visit but extremely overpriced for what you get.

Mount Vineyard - lovely place
May 2021
Wonderful place! We stumbled across the vineyard and loved the setting. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had drinks in the picnic area and I can't wait to return to eat in the restaurant.

Stunning location even on a wet grey day - we ordered the pizzas, freshly made with local ingredients - delicious, the wines were equally delicious, the staff were very friendly & made you feel very welcome. I thought it was very well priced, will definitely be going back

Room for improvement
Apr 2021
Lovely destination for lunch but not cheap. Food is delicious and lovely wines and staff are very friendly and service is efficient. We were seated in the main dining area with the roof open for COVID security, it is a lovely setting and we would give it another go.

It is not cheap but I would probably have given 4 stars if it wasn’t for two specific but important areas:

The menu consists of Pizza and side salads which are delicious but pizza is served in a box. Glasses are supplied for water, wine and other drinks. Salad served in a ceramic bowl, proper cutlery so why a takeaway box for the pizza, if I wanted a takeaway I would not pay £13 for a pizza.

The toilets were very smart with good quality disposable towels and hand cream etc but clearly not being cleaned regularly during service as the bins were overflowing and the cubicle floors, lets just say in need of attention.

There is definitely room for improvement but it has the potential to be a great dining destination.

Disappointing visit
Jan 2021
Visited the Mount Vineyard for a hot drink before a walk around Shoreham. There were many walkers at the site ordering drinks and visiting the off licence that is still open.
We were looking forward to our hot chocolates and thought the £3.75 per drink price slightly high and were very disappointed at the size ( around 125ml) plus the heat of the drinks which were only just warm. There are at least 4 venues offering a take away service in the village so shop around before paying the vineyard a visit !

English Wine and Pizza

Visited The Mount Vineyard after a lovely hike around the beautiful Shoreham area. Stopped by for some pizza and a bottle of the Mount's very own Pinot Noir. The pizza was delicious and it was perfectly accompanied by a light red. The atmosphere was really nice and the staff were friendly and attentive. Clearly lots of thought has been put into the COVID restrictions and we felt very safe during the visit. The seating area was open and airy and there was a nice Autumn breeze coming through the open roof of the stunning courtyard. I would definitely visit again, hopeful to return for wine tasting when it's back up and running again.

Average and over priced

This place has the potential to be great. Sadly average food, staff with serious attitude and an unjustifiably high price point prevent it. Such a shame.
