Booked tickets on line which means you skip the line ups. Great views and lots to see and do. Train driver was very nice and staff are friendly. Didn't do the zip line, but it looked awesome. My son loved climbing through the caves. A fun day out

Thank you for reviewing your summer/fall visit. So pleased to hear the kids loved their experience. The caves/caverns and ziplines operate between May to October. During the winter months we transition to cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. We try and remain open with limited activities during March-April and November-December (weather depending): Suspension Bridge, scavenger hunt, trail of wooden sculptures and Children’s... More

First time snowshoeing. The snowshoeing experience was fun, the snowshoes were great and in good condition. May be I was expecting "more". It was our first time and according the the description, I thought we would get more background information (about the place, snowshoe purpose/history, wild life...) The staff were friendly... but very quiet... not much interaction with the group... More

Thank you Ana for taking the time to review your experience. We’re pleased to hear you found the equipment of high quality and the staff friendly. On clear nights when the moon and stars are bright, headlamps aren’t usually needed. The sizes and noise levels of the groups vary which unfortunately affects wildlife encounters. Your expectation that more communication regarding... More

Had a blast. I never hike so this was literally a stroll in the park. Beautiful scenery. Beware of the sharp rocks and always look above so you don't hit your head on the rocks. Rocks are also Slippery when wet (the obvious) wearing does with grip is recommended. Some steep steps. I was at first debating to bring my... More

Thank you Janet for remembering to post your 2016 summer experience. We hope you return when your youngster is old enough to enjoy the hike. The caves, caverns & crevasse trail is natural, winding through boulders, over rocks and uneven ground as well as up/down metal stairs through steep passages. For safety, we recommend young children should be able to... More

We opted for the Saturday afternoon pass (a bit cheaper) and did a 1.5 hour circuit which brought us over the Suspension Bridge and up to the viewpoint. Trails well marked and not very busy. We really enjoyed ourselves. I think we would like to go back another time, ski in the morning and snow shoe in the afternoon.

Thank you for your review. The Suspension Bridge is an iconic landmark at Scenic Caves, offering breathtaking views. It’s southern Ontario’s longest footbridge and features a snowshoe trail which crosses over it during the winter. Half day (after 2pm) and full day passes are available. A full day pass gives you access to all the trails for the day (with... More

We've been here three times, twice in summer and once in winter and really enjoyed ourselves every time. In the summer, the caves are a fun experience. We were in a group of three adults (40s) and two kids (8-9 yrs old). Some agility is required in the caves. The kids had a blast exploring the nooks and crannies. There... More

Thank you so much for remembering to share last year’s experiences. As you noted, the caves are open in the spring/summer/fall (not in winter). The trail through the caves, caverns and crevasses is uneven, over boulders – in other words, natural. The Suspension Bridge is the longest in southern Ontario and very well engineered, so it is extremely safe. When... More

We visited this place in winter and the view from the lookout point was breathtaking. You can rent snowshoes and skis to make the walk easy. The best part is the suspension bridge covered in snow. It would be one of the best sites in the city.

Thank you Sanchita for your lovely review. As you discovered, Scenic Caves turns into a winter wonderland, offering 27 km of cross country ski trails and 10 km of snowshoe trails. The views in the winter are unparalleled. Southern Ontario’s longest Suspension Bridge remains open virtually year-round (weather permitting) and one of the snowshoe trails crosses over it. It was truly breathtaking! I've tried making plans to come during the summer time but never ended up making the trip. I am so glad I decided to come during the winter.
