What a great way to explore the mountain, take in the fresh mountain air and experience some nature and outdoors. Beware... This is not for the faint hearted, people who have heart conditions or air in wheel chairs etc. There is a lot of uphill walking, climbing, small tight stairs going up, down and around the caves that are not... Great fun for children, who love to scramble over rocks, but care needs to be taken, especially if it is damp! Lots of climbing up steps and on natural surfaces, so probably not suitable for those with walking difficulties or in need of assistance. Once at the top, the views are amazing! Well worth the climb. At the other end... More

Thank you TravelmumSuffolk for reviewing your visit to Scenic Caves. As you observed, fully closed running/hiking shoes with good treads are imperative. The terrain through the trail of caves, caverns and crevasses is rugged. The property is located in a designated UNESCO biosphere reserve and we are committed to preserving the natural, environmental, and historical significance of this important site.... More

Scenic Caves is an excellent attraction to go to in groups and works for all ages. There isn't actually a hike, as much as different attractions to look at. The zipline and bridge at the end are the highlights of the trip. Its a place where you should definitely plan ahead and go early to avoid issues with parking and... More

Thank you for your review Benedict. There are several trails for guests to explore – hope you didn’t miss them. The main nature trail leads visitors to the top of the Niagara Escarpment and down through the caves, caverns and crevasses. The Paradise trail from the bottom of the Thunderbird Twin Zipline guides you to the Suspension Bridge. There is... More

A great day enjoyed by our group of 27 with ages ranging from 6 – 60+. We spent 6 hours enjoying all the activities; it is not a quick stop to see caves, it is a whole-day-out adventure. We tried everything except the mini-golf. Here are my comments: Parking and Food: Parking is free and conveniently located near the ticket... More

Thank you for this all-encompassing seal of approval on behalf of such a wide range of ages. We appreciate you pointing out all the free value-added activities which you receive with admission. Similar to other attractions, line ups during the middle part of the day are inevitable. That’s why we also recommend visitors come earlier in the morning, or later... More

We drove from Toronto (about 2 hours) so we could hike and do a zip line. First off it's not a park, as such, it's an attraction. Lots of kids! And train. And play ground. Parking was tight. We paid our admission and also bought zip line passes for 3 at the same time. Got our map...first mistake..didn't plan it... More

We visited with our 3 teenagers. We booked an Eco Tour and had a blast!!! Donna and Cara were great guides. If you are traveling with older kids, definitely book a tour ahead of time. The treetop trekking was even more fun than anticipated. And of course the ziplining was awesome. Don't miss doing the Thunderbird zip line - a... More

We were staying in the area and we're looking for local kid-friendly fun. We drove past the Scenic Caves on our way down to Blue Mountain Resort from southern Ontario and made a note to return. We arrived soon after opening in the a.m. which made for a pleasant visit with very short (if any) wait times. I liked that... More

Dear Lord-Tubby: We are so pleased that you and your family ‘unlplugged’ technology for a day and came to visit. Isn’t summer grand? The caves/crevasses remain cool even on hot days. The Thunderbird Twin Zipline is our newest development – the longest twin zip in Canada at 2550 ft. Guests really enjoy it. Thanks for your five star recommendation. More
