A nice temple with a good view. The location is very close to Saijo station. There is no admission fee needed to enter this temple

This Temple is right behind Saijo Station. It is a very pretty temple and extremely ornate on the inside. The individual running it was kind enough to open it up after hours to allow us to see inside! It is worth the walk up the hill from the main temple area to see the full temple grounds. Very easy to access and convenient to the train station.

Hiroshima has many beautiful temples and shrines and this isn't exactly the best but its beautiful nonetheless. Tourists should move along but if you a international resident or someone who has more tie on their hands to kill than I suggest you visit this place. Its great afternoons, mornings. It will be very packed on New Years eve which is today. Just opposite JR Saijo station on the other side of the rail track. Take the overhead passage/stairs to get there and do stock up on amulets. Its a small community run temple but its very well taken care off. And thank you considering Saijo, Hiroshima.

10 minutes from my apartment, this temple slowly winds up the hill with multiple outbuildings and parks. I've taken several guests there and they love it! Catch it in August for Bon Odori!
