Don't miss Fumeikaku built in 1758 with a spectacular view of Takehara, and which has been a favorite film shooting spot
Dec 2018 • Couples
Saihouji is a former zen sect temple converted to the Joudo sect in the Edo period. The main temple building was refurbished in the early 18th century. What is unmissable is the platform further up from the main temple area called Fumeikaku built in 1758, from where you can command a spectacular view of Takehara, and which has been a favorite film shooting spot.

Located at the historical district of Takehara and standing high above the streets, it provided a wonderful view of Japanese tiled roofs and surroundings.
Within walkable distance from the train station
