If if good health, one should not miss the opportunity to view the 33 Butsu Kannon images carved in mountain side; God of Mercy; as you ascend you can rest and look back down over the town.; Best before 6 am summer; you may wish to stop and enjoy the view and meditate at the top ; there still may be the viewing glass . Go placidly; small animals on trail. It is a place of solitude; can be conducive to quiet reflection it IS in the Nature Preserve;

When you visit Okunoshima, I highly recommend hiking up this mountain. Just a breezy 30-minute walk from the ferry terminal takes you to the summit, where you're met with breathtaking views of the Seto Inland Sea's myriad islands. With toilets available, your climb will be comfortable. Along the way, flowers changing with the seasons decorate the path, enhancing the joy of your hike. Seeking a spectacular view, let's sweat it out surrounded by nature.
