桜も人も…満開でした

凄い人出と凄い桜・・・川之石にある金毘羅神社は桜の名所として知られているが、名所に違わず、桜のトンネルを潜る参道で参詣します。公園内にも忠霊塔等の塔があります。私がいつも不思議に感じるのは、神社が「金毘羅神社」なのに、何故、公園は「琴平」なのかな？読み方は一緒なのに・・・いつも不思議に思っています。理由知っておられる方、教えて下さい。
