I have never seen anything quite like this; a steaming hot river cutting through a gorge, complete with steam vents shooting out of the cracks. Oyasukyo has a short and lovely hike down into the gorge. There are many onsens to soak in afterwards. I highly recommend Doroyu Onsen (however it is a little bit out of the way). The... More
