This is a huge Namahage. It won't take you long to see, but you will get a lot of great photos, also make sure you look up the history behind these.

Leaving Oga Aquarium GAO behind, I drove counterclockwise along the prefectural road along the coast, and came across a giant Namahage statue on the side of the road in an area called Monzen. This was the "Monzen Namahage Standing Statue." It is said to be 9.99m tall, an odd number that is apparently a reference to the 999 stone steps of Goshado. The giant Namahage, glaring with its hands raised towards the Sea of Japan, is the symbol of Oga.
