Great view

The dive up was worth it. The view was great and you can see 3 volcanic craters from the top. There is a fee to ascend the observatory platform.

Mt. Kanpu-san is a volcano with three separate peaks that provides stunning 360 degree views of the Oga penninsula. Kanpu means `cold wind` and perhaps due to the fast blowing winds, there are usually clear skies and gorgeous sights on top of the mountain any time of day. Easy to access by car take Rt.101, about 10 minutes from crossing... More
