About
Located deep within Talbot Bay in the Buccaneer Archipelago are the Horizontal Waterfalls. Massive tidal movements create a waterfall effect as water banks up against one side of the narrow cliff passage, to be repeated again on the turning tide. The twin gaps are part of the McLarty Ranges, which have two ridges running parallel approximately 300 metres apart. The first and most seaward gap is about 20 metres wide and the second, most spectacular, gap is about 10 metres wide. The falls can only be reached by boat or plane

We booked at the Derby Visitors Center for the horizontal Falls overnight trip. We were wowed from the pick up to drop off. Awesome experience of seaplane landing between the ancient rock hills onto Cyclone Creek, swim with the sharks being fed, lovely aircon room and rooftop dining, fast boat rides over swirling water through narrow gaps as the tide rises and falls. Well done to Horizontal Falls Adventures and your friendly staff. Loved the meal loved everything.

Was the most amazing adventure trip starting with a great flight and awesome Pilot.
The crew on cockatoo Island Hayley and Ben were so full of knowledge and were so polite and accommodating. Couldn’t thank them enough for a wonderful day and a crocodile sighting aswell.
Well worth the experience xx

I felt safe and comfortable on the flight from Broome to Horizontal Falls. I felt unsafe with 3 sea planes concurrently flying by the Horizontal Falls and 2 sea planes concurrently flying by Cape Leveque at low altitudes and high banking angles. I felt safe, but not comfortable on the flight back from Cape Leveque to Broome, because our pilot stayed below the cloud cover to increase scenery observation which also increased turbulence.

A must visit if your up near Derby. Highly recommend. We stayed overnight fantastic at the falls. We couldnt go through the falls due to a accident which was disappointing, we felt as though we had missed out on something special. Accommodation and meals fantastic. Staff great

I can't say enough good things about the Horizontal Falls. We did the half-day seaplane adventure (skip the "shark dive" - it's a major let-down) and it was well worth every penny. Riding through the falls was a thrill in itself but the seaplane ride to and from the Falls back to Broome was an experience I'll never forget. I hesitated due to the cost but I highly recommend the half-day trip and think it's very good value for money.

Fantastic trip from early morning leaving on the seaplane till the very end. All the people who were involved in this experience were so professional, friendly and delightful. On arrival we were served a delicious breakfast before the trip thru the Falls . We especially enjoyed the flight back flying low over the Buccaneer Archipelago. The scenery was so beautiful and Australia has some stunning areas to visit.

We booked the full day tour and can throughly recommend it to anyone. We were picked up by our four wheel drive bus early in the morning. Our journey went well with our first stop for coffee and sight seeing being Beagle bay. Then we were off to Cape Leveque for a lovely breakfast followed by a walk or paddle along or in the beautiful clear blue ocean surrounded by red rock and sand. Very spectacular. We drove on to One Arm Point and visited a Hatchery.
The indigenous guide was most informative telling us about the fish, coral, turtles and shells. From here we flew in our seaplane to the pontoon from which we would take a high speed boat ride to the falls. Whilst on the pontoon we saw Nurse Sharks, enjoyed a lovely lunch and were cared for by very enthusiastic young staff members. The ride to and through the falls was great fun and we all had plenty of opportunity to get great photos or videos. Upon return to the pontoon there was time for a quick cuppa and then our sea plane lifted us from the bay and back to Broome.
A wonderful,value for money day
