Good to take a look if you are in Kuala Kangsar. For a 140 year old rubber tree, planted in 1877, she is very fat but looks real healthy. There are old machines for making rubber sheets placed alongside it. It is situated on the same road as the old Pavillion and the Malay College; at the other end. Next to the Land & District office building.

just like an ordinary forgotten tree beside the road. has only iron fence around it. should do more to mark the historical tree

I always thought that rubber trees were thin and smallish - never knew that they could look so impressive when aged - a lot better looking than palm oil trees anyway. There is a little plaque outside the tree too
There is nothing else apart from looking at a tree but it is good to see nature in its glory.

The rubber tree is 140 years old (planted on 1877). It still healthly & tall. However, lack of facilities & publicity
