The beach is a very long walk from Odeceixe so you have to drive there. You park on the sides of narrow tracks on top of a hill. Unfortunately, on the afternoon we went, everybody in the world seemed to have got there first and after spending ages crawling along to find a space, we gave up. Odeceixe is a... More

A little bit crowded but with amazing views. We highly recommend to visit it. It's totally worth it to stay in Aljezur, for example in the house "villa sem estresse" and drive over there

Another "must see" beach in Portugal. Here the river is ending its journey to the sea and it forms a curve around the sandy beach. It is not possible to swim here, due to high waves and over-protective life-guards (which frankly speaking are completely right, when warning people). But the scenic views make up for it perfectly.

We just spotted that beach with a simple search on the internet with checking the pictures. Those are describes how excellent place this is. You have nice waves from the ocean, surf school and a river at the back of the bech so you can enjoy the warmer, not salty water too. Incredibly perfect.

A must see - especially with children as the river runs into the sea here which provides lovely safe beach area away from the waves. Facilities & sun beds as well. Stunning!

This is a great place - third visit. After the beach and the river there are two restaurants on the hill and the boardwalk further up.

For those who like long and large ocean beach with no much people. Ideal for a walk and good for "cold" swim.

Where else will you find a beach with surf, white sand, huge stretches of beach, cliffs, rock pools and a river for paddling, canoeing or getting dragged to the sea by the strong current! Amazing place but will get packed with families at the weekend.
