We used to love going to O’Reilly’s for a nice lovely lunch on a Sunday, but our experience today was so disappointing. First of all, there was no table service anymore. I was okay with that, but the following experiences were just not pleasant at all.

1. There’s no service at all. You get your own food, find your own table, and get your own cutlery from a this plastic container that was put on top of a box by the high chairs. I don’t know how hygienic that is, but it was very poor.

2. We ordered a Canungra pizza ($27) and a spinach and feta pie ($20). The pizza dough was undercooked - doughy and the mushrooms still raw. The spinach and feta pie was so dry - I barely ate it because it was just not pleasant to eat at all. Both food was served in a cardboard box! For a main meal over $20, I’d expect it to be served on a plate - like they used to do! Food was crap and was overpriced!

3. We were crammed in a dining hall. This is not their fault because it started raining and the people who were there to have a picnic went inside to have their food. But why would you let a guy play the piano (who can’t even play it properly) inside an already noisy dining hall with screaming and running kids?

I don’t know what happened to the place? Did they change management or owners? It no longer have the nice pleasant atmosphere that it used to have. Food before was good and service was pleasant. They can’t say it’s because of Covid because there are other vineyards in Canungra who still offers table service.

It’s such a shame as we used to love this place and always bring friends from overseas or interstate, and sadly unless they change, we will not be going back.

The only good thing we had today was the paddle of wine for $20..

Visited the winery today with friends. Not been for many many years, we don't think the picnic you pay $35 each per person has Improved at all. Nice salami, ham and a couple of cheeses, one small baguette, a small amount if antipasto, all nice. Two soggy tastless chicken drumsticks, salad tastless no dressing and lettuce brown in parts. Suppose to be a wine tasting included, that wasnt happening due to covid19 understandable but not told on making a booking, ice cream choice was a choice of 2 paddle pops! Beautiful setting, lovely wine but fell short of the little touches you expect at a Winery. One lady serving then was joined by a lovely pleasant young man in dirty work gear, which seemed a bit odd! After having visited wineries all over Australia, maybe the management should visit others to see how they present themselves. Whether all this was because of shortage of staff unsure! Don't be put off going, its a lovely special place but improvement is needed.

Very poor service at the cellar door, waited 10-20 mins to be served while staff stood around doing nothing and looking at us waiting. Appeared only 2 staff able to serve cellar door. Wines very ordinary nothing special or stood out. Wines not cheap. Appeared that alpacas great for children to lead around.

We had a pre prepared picnic basket lunch to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. Covid 19 meant no wine tasting but it was still a lovely way to lunch. Beautiful setting by the river. Recommend.

Fantastic location, welcoming staff and decent wine in the park. I am not sure about the Alpaca walking (some people should be IQ tested before allowing them to participate) but overall it is a great spot for anyone whether it is a family or a couple.

What a wonderful stop for lunch. We booked 1 of their picnic baskets and had our lunch by the stream. The food was spectacular and very tasty and included in the package was a wine tasting of canungra wines .Afterwards when you take your picnic basket you get a a ice cream . They also do bbq packages if you are not a picnic and rug person ! Alpacas also at winery. So great for families as well as adults and lovely surroundings a must to do and visit and a great stop if going to O'Reilly retreat.

Having been disappointed by another "attraction" we searched for locally vineyards and hit on O'Reilly's. There is, apparently, much more to O'Reilly's than just the vineyard but sadly we didn't have the time to investigate. We did, however, get to enjoy a wine-tasting! The tasting is free if you purchase three bottles of wine but otherwise a mere $5. There is a comprehensive menu of the wines available for tasting with a brief description of the qualities of each next to it. Reading through the menu we picked out wines we thought we might like and tasted them. it was fun to see if our reading of the description matched with our enjoyment of the wine! I have been to wine tastings before and often leave unimpressed. Here, however, I must confess the wines were absolutely beautiful. We quickly purchased a delicious sparkling red and two bottles of a really beautiful red port - "Big Pete" Port!! The vineyard is, of course, a beautiful location as they often are, but there is more to be found and a return trip is on our future "to do" list!

Such a sunny warm beautiful creekside vineyard! We listened to live music while the kids enjoyed the Alpaca feeding. Please do yourself a favour and order the Karaage Chicken! Seriously absolutely mouth-watering succulent chicken served on yummy rice with a side salad. Such good value for money. And if you're lucky you may get to taste the Portuguese Tarts, which sell out quicker than you'd believe...

Tip: the Rosé is... well - less than delightful; however the Pinot Gris (which may look like a Rosé due to its' blushed pink appearance) is nice! Just go for the Tasting Paddle so you get a good sampling of what's on offer!

The lake view is idyllic and peaceful, however the drinks were rather disappointing — could also be our choice of wines.
