This is a regulating pond in Koshigaya that was established as part of the region's flood control measures. The plaza on the banks of the pond is almost entirely covered with grass, except for the pathways, and there is no designated no-go zone, so you can see people taking naps, running around, and spending time as they please. Almost the entire area is covered with grass, and there are no designated off-limits areas, so you can see people taking a nap, running around, or just enjoying their time. There is a stage in the park, and it gets crowded on days when there are events, but other than that, there are not so many people, so you can spend your time comfortably.
There is only a waist-high fence along the shore of the pond, and the plaza is slightly sloped, so you need to be careful when playing with a ball, as the ball can easily fall into the pond (I have not seen anyone actually playing with a ball). In addition, it should be noted that there are almost no places that can be used as shade from the sun or rain.
