越谷にある、地域の水害対策の一環で設けられた調節池です。そのほとりにある広場は、通路を除きほぼ一面が芝生に覆われており、特に立ち入り禁止区域も設定されていないため、昼寝をしたりかけっこをしたりなど、思い思いにひと時を過ごす人を見かけます。園内にはステージが設けられ、イベントがある日などは混雑しますが、それ以外はそれ程人も多くなく、快適にひと時を過ごせると思います。 調節池の岸には成人の腰の高さ程度の柵しかないこと、広場はやや傾斜があることから、ボール遊び等では池にボールが落ちやすくなることに注意が必要です（実際にボール遊びをしている人は見られません）。一方、日除けや雨除けとして活用できる場所がほとんど無いことにも注意が必要です。 This is a regulating pond in Koshigaya that was established as part of the region's flood control measures.
