草加のシンボル的な風情のある橋です。周りの道路は交通量が多いので、行くまでが結構面倒です。橋自体は車は通れませんので、到着してしまえばゆっくりと見ることができると思います。

This footbridge connects the promenade of Sokamatsubara, and it matches very well with the view of Matsubara. 矢立橋は，「草加松原遊歩道」にあります。「草加松原遊歩道」（1.5km）は，綾瀬川沿いにあって，江戸時代の日光街道中の風光明媚な「草加松原」を再現したもの。矢立橋は，この景観にマッチするものとして造られた和風の太鼓橋型の歩道橋です（長さ77.9m、幅3.5m）。。
私は，日光街道を完歩しましたが，「草加松原遊歩道」は，日光街道中では，日本橋を出て栃木県宇都宮市西北部の並木道に入るまでは唯一の土の道（中央は石畳）で，歩き心地も良く，私のお気に入りです。多くの人がウォーキングやジョギングを楽しんでいます。
ただ，この矢立橋。江戸時代に実在した橋を復元したものではありません。「草加松原遊歩道」を横切る車道を渡るために考案された歩道橋です。また，かなり大きな歩道橋ですから，結構な高さもあります。下の横断歩道を通る人の方が多いようです。私には，この歩道橋は，通行用というより展望用または運動用に適しているように思えました。

浦和に住んでますが草加市内にこんなところがあるとは知りませんでした。草加せんべいはどこにでも売ってるくらい有名ですが来たことなかったので散策してみました。宿場町だったこともあり、古民家も数多くある煎餅屋も新鮮でした。

2月の早朝に綾瀬川沿いの松並木（草加松原）を散歩しました。矢立橋は、長さ96.3m、幅員4.14ｍの和風太鼓橋で百代橋と共に草加のシンボル的な存在です。当日は残念ながら工事中で渡ることができませんでした。 橋の名前は松尾芭蕉の「奥の細道」の「行く春や 鳥啼き魚の 目は泪 これを矢立のはじめとして。。。」から引用したとのことです。次回は、工事が終わってから訪問したいです。

百代橋と対になった、歩道橋です。これも、松並木沿いにあり、組み合わせがきれいです。江戸時代っぽい雰囲気です。この辺から、春は桜並木も見えてきれいです。

草加松原の遊歩道と県道の交差部分に架けられた歩道橋。1994年完成。時代劇に出てくるような太鼓橋で、美しい松並木にマッチしたデザインとなっている。
