If you're in Niigata Prefecture, consider stopping by Bokushi Street in Shiozawa. Stroll up and down this quaint thoroughfare and soak up the feeling of the old Edo Period. There are a few good dining options, including a soba noodle restaurant and a cozy cafe which serves organic food and fresh coffee.
