We wanted to get out of Tokyo for the day and have a bit of a walk so we drove to Kanagawa and climbed Mt. Kobo. we found some parking close by and got some stuff to eat at a Family Mart near by and got on our way. The walk/hike takes about 2.5 hours (round trip) and longer if you stop for lunch like we did. There are park benches scattered along the walk so its easy to find a place to sit. It is a little steep when you start the climb but the evens out a bit after the initial 30 mins. Nice view from the small tower at the top and you can see Fuji on a good day

Mt.Koubo is only 200 m height. It is quite easy to walking around even for elderly people I am more than 70 years old but taking walk almost three times a week with my wife.Although the Mt.is low, you can see very nice scenic view like Mt. Fuji, Mt.Tanzawa, Pacific Ocean, Enoshima Island, and Oshima Island. In summer time you can see wild lily called Yamayuri (very big flower!).
