We stopped by this store on our way to the kamaboko museum where we participated in the kamaboko making experience. Inside the spacious store there is a small bar counter with a tasting menu of gourmet kamaboko. One includes kamaboko that have a Japanese taste and the other one is western influenced with fig, nuts, cheese, salmon and avocado. Each set costs only 500 yen and includes a small glass of Japanese koshu wine or local microbrew. It was a perfect snack!

My local friend recommend us to visit this speciality shop selling Fish cakes and meat sausages. There were samples of each type of Fish cakes for you to taste before selection of what you want. We tried several different favours and all were very good. The fish cakes were not soft when chewing. The meat is fresh when you eat that you can tell. I recommend visitors should try when you are there. The shop is just opposite corner of the train station.
