歴史のあるお寺さんですが、、、

長い歴史のあるお寺さんです。まあ経営的に仕方ないのでしょうが、小田原駅から徒歩５分&駐車場完備のアクセスの良さをPRして、しっかり営業活動されています。

曹洞宗の古刹

宗圓寺は、JR小田原駅西口から徒歩5分のところにある曹洞宗(禅宗)です。1545年（室町時代）創建の歴史ある寺院です。本堂は平成18年に改築された新しい建物です。境内の片隅に美しい紫陽花の花が咲いていました。近くには、同じ曹洞宗の福泉寺（満願弁財天尊）、高長寺があります。神社仏閣に興味がある方は共に参拝されては如何でしょうか？

ちょっと分かりにくいところにあり

大稲荷神社、福泉寺などを参詣した後もう少し足を延ばして参拝しました。ちょっと分かりにくいところにありました。
境内はそれ程広くなく、これと言った特徴がなかったです。

弁天様とおいなりさんのすぐそば

小田原駅西口（新幹線側）を出てすぐにあります。このお寺さん自体は特に観光スポットではないと思いますが、すぐ近くに美白の神様＝弁天様や、おいなりさんもあります。

観光する場所ではない感じ

美白の神様「弁天さん」にお参りに行った際、その周辺のおいなりさんとかお参りしたついでに覗いてみました。歴史のあるお寺さんのようですが、個人の感想としては、特に観光する場所じゃないかな、って感じでした。
