Towards the end of the path to the southern end of the island, there is a small mud track on the left that leads to this small platform with a small bell. The railings surrounding the bell are full of colourful messages of lovers’ vows. There is little else here but it’s only a short minute or two off the main track, so couples might be tempted to visit.

It seems to me apropos to see a version of love locks set by lovers (passionate about keeping promises to each other) in this enchanting island of Enoshima; previously, I have seen this in Venice and Paris. This is because Enoshima strikes me as a destination for lovers, as it is romantic.

Probably, anywhere is nice for lovers, but not for me. Hahaha
On the way in the Enoshima island from Enoshima shrine to Chigogafuchi, after 30 minutes of stair walk, you have to take a few minutes of walk off the main path.
A bell is there.
Forest is there.
Lovers can enjoy ringing the bell, putting a wishing board and a key to expect lovely future with their partner.
Good for them 😊

Cool bell on Enoshima Island popular with romantic couples. it's surrounded by locks on the fences proclaiming their undying love and plaques from individuals hoping to find a match in a partner. The bell signifies the love for the couple. Make a wish and ring the bell together to make the wish come true! Bring your own lock or buy one from many vendors throughout the island for about 400 yen.

This is a cute little area on the island where you and your partner can ring the bell and be bound together forever, or something like that. Haha. Just avoid if extra windy because a decent photo will be nearly impossible. They have a selfie stand set up to place your phone on so that you can get a picture with your sweetheart. The bell is surrounded by gates covered in locks with couple's names on them. There is a shaved ice shop back on the path that sells locks and they give you everything needed to decorate them. The shaved ice there is good, too!

My wife and I like "Hidamari no Kanojyo", a famous Japanese movie, very much. Since that movie was shot on this location, we came to this place. You can buy and put a padlock on fence, as the personae in the movie did.
