My wife and I visited this place for our wedding anniversary, we took the day spa plan, so that we were able to enjoy a nice day in the outdoor pool (a little windy and chilly for me, but vey nice hehehe).

We had also enjoyed the onsen and a great late lunch at the restaurant at the 4th floor.

It is recommended for people who likes the onsen and would like to spend a nice time in an indoor or outdoor pool.

It is important to mention that as it happens in many places in Japan, the pool area does not have a bar or restaurant service as is in many other countries overseas, but it is still nice to spend some relaxing time.

The sunset picture was taken from the bridge that connects Enoshima and the mainland.

This is a fantastic place. A little expensive but well worth it if you've never visited an onsen. They have a reduced evening rate from 6pm, HOWEVER if you book on their Japanese site you can get the same rate from 5pm!!! This means that you get to watch sunset from a hot bath. They have many different baths at different temperatures, some with jet-force spa jets, some inside, some outside, and they have a unisex sauna that's around 60 degrees, and a serious one in the male area at 90 degrees. It's a little complicated getting from floor to floor as the lifts tend to be in the changing rooms, and the locker keys are a bit fiddly, but this pales to insignificance compared with the 3 or 4 hours you could spend here enjoying this unique experiance.

Really love this place! You go first floor where you have infinity pool with unblocked view of Mount Fuji. Just unfortunately we couldn't see the mountain on the day we visited. Then on second floor you have jacuzzi. Strong currents in the middle and lower strength by the edge of the window. This is followed by third floor where onsen is gender segregated.

Do note you have to go to third floor to take lift down to second floor and another separate lift to go to the first floor.

After you have completed your experience, you can take your time to unwind and dry your hair in the pretty set up partitions, and collect your stuff in the locker of your choice.

You are given one big and one small towels for clean up, as well as a bathrobe. Bring your own swimming costume or pay for rent.

Reception woman was unfriendly and inattentive, considering the high price of 4,500 Yen (35 US$) and she kept me waiting 6 min. But worst was the ear deafening "music" at the pool, techno of the unhealthiest kind and not for relaxing. Also, the main pool has no shower. Guests sunbath for hours, then jump into the pool full of sweat.
Best part was the "pool boy" from Malaysia who spoke English fluently.

During my stay a construction was in progress.

Several foreigners were turned away at the entrance, only because they had a tiny little tattoo. Ridiculous.

Not a bad place, but for such a high entrance fee one can expect a better treat.

If you're looking for something to do on Enoshima Island, aside from walking around and doing touristy things, I recommend Enospa for a special relaxing experience.

I'd heard about Enospa from a friend and decided to go there on my first visit to the island. The affordable price(¥2,742) for the one-day spa surprised me at first, but it just made me want to try it out more.

After putting your belongings in a locker, you can walk around the facility in your swimsuit to enjoy several types of indoor and outdoor pools and sauna. If you want to try their natural hot spring, you'll go back through the locker rooms to the gender separated baths. My favorite area was the pool that was made to look like a cave. Every outdoor pool had a great view looking out to the ocean, but this area made me feel like I was in a real cave, right by the waves. They also offered several aroma therapy events in the sauna, which anybody in the facility could try for free.

Last but not least, I took my own swimsuit, but the great thing about Enospa is that you can go empty-handed and still have the same awesome experience. They have swimsuits for rent (¥500~) and towels and spa robes are handed to you upon arrival. Hair dryers, lotion, disposable hair brushes, and more are all equipped in both the men and women's locker rooms.

I definitely want to go back again. Maybe I'll try one of their spa/ beauty treatments (prices vary) next time.

Why would they offer a website completely in English, offer mixed bath with swim suits and make their whole appearance as if they're totally welcoming tourism - and then they don't allow tattoos? Very old-fashioned.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write your review. Since this is a private club, the tattoo policy may seem overly stringent to some guests, but we do try to make sure the policy on tattoos as well as children under six and under is clearly evident on our website, etc. We appreciate that most guests and members understand the cultural background to aversion to tattoos in Japan.

My husband and I did a couples massage here and it was fabulous. Very clean, great massage, amazing ambiance and the staff was so helpful. They have a very nice feature on their website to email an English speaker to facilitate reservations and questions.

The spas and pools are a treat in themselves!

And, the view through out the entire resort is gorgeous!! We will definitely be back!!!

Whether you're a spa enthusiast or first timer, I highly recommend you visit Enoshima's Enospa for an affordable, exclusive experience you won't soon forget.

For less than ¥3000, you can spend an entire day relaxing in one or all of their various indoor and outdoor pools (with beach/ocean view), as well as their sauna. Enospa also provides several cafes, restaurants, and attractions to keep you entertained. And once you're finished, you can enjoy everything else the popular island has to offer.

After having lived in the Shonan area for many years, my only regret was that I'd waited so long to go. But I intend to make up for it by becoming a member and frequenting Enospa regularly!

The Enoshima Island Spa is a wonderful place to visit. The separate indoor onsen baths are beautifully situated with a view over the ocean. There are many different hot springs in the women's bath to chose from, all feeling very clean and genuine.

I especially appreciate the shared outdoor baths where men and women can bathe together with views over the ocean. I was lucky enough to be at Enoshima Island Spa a clear and sunny day so that I could experience Mt Fuji off in the distance at sunset.

Enoshima Island itself is also nice to stroll around and look at. The close distance to Tokyo makes this onsen a good day-trip option. I started my day in Kamkura, and went here during the afternoon to end of my full day of sightseeing. Good combo!
