I'm not a very beach type of person, but I thought since I'm in the vicinity ... I might as well swing by to see how the beach looks like. I have to say, I'm impressed by the entire length of the coastline. I saw quite a number of people engaging in surfing activities while being there, and the stretch of restaurants situated along the coast line serving the beach patrons. A lot of the restaurants/cafes along the coast sell shaved ices from Taiwan, Soft Serve cones as well... of course, Takoyaki is also available on their menus. Not to forget the BBQ seafood etc... it's a very happening beach, unlike the beach in Singapore [East Coast Park etc].
The toilets on the beach area is those portable types, quite interesting to see that as well. Though, it's understandable that they have such toilets on the beach. Otherwise, one have to walk all the way to the train stations for a public toilet, and that can be quite inconvenient. Although, the Enoshima Aquarium is close by - I'm not so sure whether the facility toilet is open for public use... I didn't stay at the Kaigan park for long since I visited the place alone and I'm not exactly a beach type of people. Still, I have to say - it's very different from the East Coast park in Singapore.

I'm living about 10 km away from the beach and visiting the area almost daily during my cycle tours.
The place is populated by many beach party people (often drunk and loud) and local surfers.
I especially recommend this place to people who want so see spectacular sunsets or who want to have a more or less free view over the skies of Kanto.

The park / beach is situated close by the Enoshima Island and is at a walking distance of about 12 minutes from the Katase Enoshima station of the Odakyu Railways.
The seaside beach offers a great stretch of relaxation, views of mount Fuji on a clear day and the mesmerizing evening Sunset.
A wonderful place to relax in the evening time.
