Upon entering you will be handed a brochure showing the scheduled animal shows for that day. We went on a weekday and there were at least three large groups of students on a field trip, so it was very crowded. There was plenty of seating...More

A nice aquarium, they also have some other terrestrial species, thy have a dolphin show as well, which makes me think of Free Willy always, but it was a good way to spend a (VERY) hot afternoon

The aquarium gives a sense of very well-maintained and very well-cared for place. I normally don't enjoy dolphin shows much, but the whale and dolphins genuinely looked like they were having fun, almost as if they were looking forward to being in the show and...More

I will go to school when I am tired. However, even if you visit it many times it is continuous of impression. Especially the dolphin and aquan show seems to have a relationship between dolphins and people's heart beyond what is narrated. Even...More

Features mainly fish in the nearby Sagami Bay waters including lots of jellyfish exhibits and deap sea creatures. However, they also have some bigger water creatures such as stingrays, sharks, penguins, seals, sea turtles, and river otters, along with a dolphin show. The little ones...More

The place is worth a visit whether in groups or alone. It provides an interesting learning experience about the marine life around Japan and around the world, and it's generally a fun and lively place to be in.

We came to the aquarium to kill time while we were at Enoshima during New Year. The exhibit tanks were clean and well spaced out with interesting fishes. We missed the dolphin show but didn’t stick around for another 2 hours for the next show....More

Kamakura/Enoshima Day Trip Itinerary advice (11 Replies)
Hi Everyone, I've read many articles and forums here, I think it got me more confused. Can anyone help with an Itinerary and also let me know if I am trying to pack too many things in 1 day... My Airbnb is located near Nishi-Shinjuku 5 Chome station, and we plan on purchasing the Enoden Free Pass (Longer, but round trip is included). Would I find my way to the main Shinjuku Station from here? Here are the places that I've marked down that we should check out, but I don't know...More

There are too many places to go around. Enoshima alone takes more than half a day. It depends on what month you are going. (Sunset relationship, light up, fireworks and other events) Meigetsuin (Hydrangea Temple) may not go except June or July. I lived fairly close to Ofuna Kannonji Temple for nearly 30 years, but I have never been there. If you stand on the right side of the train (Yokosuka line, Tokaido line etc.), you can see the exterior from the train. The return will be on the...More
