This place was a pleasant surprise. Lots of steps but the view is worth it. The Big Buddha can be reached without climbing but you need to go to the right parking lot. It is a great place to visit if you want a workout. You can spend the entire day here going up and down stairs visiting different sites - mountain top views, Big Buddha, Temples, observation deck and great views of Tokyo Bay. If you have active kids, this will wear them down.…

When I came here, I saw a sign written in Japanese. "If you pray at Oku-no-in (inner sanctuary), you will be able to improve your ability of sports, health of your legs. Your kids will be able to run faster than before." So, I walked up to there, and I found something. There were two "Tengu" - a kind of Japanese God which has a long nose and red face. And such big clogs! I thought definitely they runs so fast.
