Our cycle tour guide took us onto the beach, of which we were wary at first as bike tyres usually dig in to sand. But the sand was firm enough for tyres of about 35mm width. There were a couple of soft spots that needed...More

There weren’t many cars so people just stopped and got out randomly to enjoy the view. We did too. It’s an experience you can’t usually have.

There aren't too many places where you can drive on the beach. Having been to Daytona, it wasn't that big of a deal to us, but we did it as part of a day up the coast.

Oct 11 We departed Hida Furukawa and headed toward Kanazawa. On the way we scheduled a stop here. We drove the 8 KM of beach raceway. There were few cars there, and there are no signage or lanes to manage traffic. Reminds me earlier times...More

Don't know anyother place where you can drive through a sandy seashore! It was really cool! Rare and fun experience! The path maybe closed according to the weather.

As a Californian, I found it hard to believe that the Japanese drive on their beaches. They not only do, they are PROUD that they do, they are PROUD that they do. Chirihama is a very wide 'Beach Driveway' with the sand so tamped down...More

To be honest, it's more memorable for the driver than passenger. You can drive in the water, splash as much as you want and drift about in the sand. I was on highway and stumbled across this beach, made for the next exit immediately. Pot...More

I toured the Noto Peninsula on a trip to Kanazawa and took a bus tour along the rugged coastline, wonderfully scenic. Much to our surprise, and delight, our bus driver drove on the beach area right along the sea's edge.

You may choose southward way, because if you go northbound, you must cutt across the traffic. Be carefull in japan, keep to left.
