Great and beautiful waterfall
May 2019 • Solo
The waterfall is 7 meter high and 30 meter wide. Walking path with the view of river stream will lead you to the waterfall and along the river. Once the waterfall appear to the sight, you could feel the greatness of the waterfall. There is the suspension bridge that gives the beautiful view of the area.

The view is very unique. One of the must go for a sightseeing in gunma. You can see the fall is "splitted" which is very unique.

Easy to access (walking) to the falls not long and some stairs. The water is really strong, there is a guard and rope line for security.

Fukeware Falls impressive
Apr 2019
We drove to these falls as a detour on the way back from Gunma to Tokyo and I was overawed by the beauty of the gorge and the different water flow and falls. Was so impressed I said to myself ‘I would travel half way around the world to be here’.

Impressive waterfall and country park
Sep 2018 • Couples
A wide shallow river cuts through the riverbed creating a u-shape waterfall.

We parked the car in the village (paid parking) and walked down to the river, then walked upstream to the waterfall. The riverside footpath is well marked and easy to follow. There is a footbridge across the river and another footpath on the opposite side of the river but is about 100 metres on the hill side giving some good views. Then using a roadbridge to cross back to the original side of the river so you can make a loop around the waterfall.

After the walk we took lunch in one of the many restaurants in the village.

Very beautiful during autumn
Nov 2018 • Friends
Long journey which involved taking a train to Numata from Takasaki and transferring to a local bus to the waterfall, but everything was worth it. Went there a couple of years ago, when it was relatively less well known by foreign tourist, and access information were mostly found on the web in Japanese (not too sure about it now though). It was really really beautiful during autumn, and the fact there weren't many tourist (hence not too crowded), made the walk around the area really enjoyable. And oh, please take note of the signs around the area and do not cross beyond bounded areas. Enjoy the views while respecting the place too. Highly recommended place to visit if you love waterfall and nature.

Lovely easy walk - great during autumn
Nov 2018 • Friends
This is a great place to go see some autumn colours in Gunma. We visited the first weekend of November and the fall colours were already out, but still interspersed with green, which I quite like. It was a little bit busy on a Sunday - in the mid-afternoon it became more quiet and the afternoon sun really brought out the colours of the leaves. Peak colours would probably be around mid November. There is a legend that this is an entryway to the undersea palace of the Dragon King. Found easy convenient parking a few steps from the walkway for 500 yen.

Wonderful place
Nov 2018 • Couples
Wonderful though crwoded during autumn colors. Nice little walk; if you have time plan to hike uphill. Without hike would spend 1 1/2 hours, including hike 2 1/2. Must also be scenic after winter, with plenty of water.

A must

Very impressive and worth to drive all the way here by car. I am not sure whether they are bus to us from Tokyo. If yes, certainly worth to go.
