Fun water park to go with family or friends
Aug 2019
I (teenager) enjoyed coming here with my younger cousins and brother. I do not know much about the pricing, but the lines were sometimes long for the more popular slides. There are other very small slides that never have a line and have quite cold water. I enjoyed the sunset in the summer as well, it was beautiful and despite the long lines, with my family it was really fun. I would be careful when walking because some areas on the ground were a little slippery. There is also a giant slide, but you have to pay extra per person for every ride on it.

Fun water world

Very good for camping and attractions. Great for kids and adults. Camp grounds have great views and are seperate from each other by hedges.

A good time for kids but typically crowded
Aug 2017 • Family
We were camping in the area so thought we'd take the kids. It's quite expensive given that our kids couldn't be bothered to wait for an hour to go on the long slides. The place is packed as expected. The best place though to base yourself is over on the grass area facing the sea. It cooler there and you are isolated from the music, noise and crowds of the poolside areas. Our kids had a great time on the go-carts, playing golf and a few other rides outside the pool area.

Overall it was a good day out but we wouldn't go again and my kids had just as much fun, if not more the following day snorkeling in a lovely cove near our camping spot.

Water slides and camping.

Shibamasa world is a very good attraction, it caters for all ages and is in a very good area overlooking the Japan sea. The camping sites are the best I have ever been on, and the view is spectacular, in summer there is also a fireworks display. Book early though to get the best camping position and arrive on a weekday, the water attraction gets very busy on the weekends cars line up for miles to get in.

Love it or hate it
Aug 2015 • Family
Some of you will love this place, some of you will hate it.

On a typically hot summer's day here, you will encounter wall-to-wall people at this waterworld. If you don't mind that and are able to find your niche, you can very well enjoy yourself.

I suggest pitching your suntent by the Sea of Japan side of the wave pool. It's nice and breezy there and the view is pleasant.

If, however, you are not into crowds, you could find yourself having nightmares based on this place. Scenes from this super crowded establishment could very easily fit into clips from Koyaanisqatsi. If you don't mind standing in line for an hour to enjoy a 40 second-long waterslide, enjoy the experience.

If I come to this place again, I will definitely bring an eskie full of my own food and drinks, including cold beers. The food and drinks here are mediocre and very expensive.
