To walk down this hill takes you through a bit of history, thinking of Samurai daily making their way way to and from the Castle as they did in the Edo period, nice place also for couples who want a special photo together.

We found this old road after looking at the Samurai Houses and just had to walk it. It wanders off through the beautifull bamboo forest down hill and joins up with a normal residential road at the bottom. You can then turn right and it takes you to the road heading to the old Castle site and the history museum. It was nice to walk under the shade of the towering bamboo and let the imagination run wild, how much Samurai history this road could talk about, no doubt we were walking in many a great warriors footsteps. It is only a few minutes walk so do it and enjoy , we did .
