期間限定！近場で癒されよう♪

千葉県市川市の施設で、動物園・自然観察園等で構成される公園です。（公園は入場無料。動物園は別途大人４２０円。）
通常は柵に囲まれた区画が、紅葉の季節限定で「もみじの里」として一般開放されます。
普段人が足を踏み入れない山林は紅葉樹が多く、中でももみじの美しさは圧巻！
小高い山になっているので、山の斜面の急な階段の上り・下りに少し苦労しますが（＾＾；）真っ赤な絨毯をかさこそ踏みしめながら、近場で秋を満喫出来ます。

２００９年の開放は１２月６日（日）まででしたが、開放区画以外も公園内は紅葉樹が多く、バラ園や温室等もあり、充分楽しめると思います。
お天気の良い日のお散歩コースに是非どうぞ（＾＾）

本数は少ないですが、市川市のコミュニティバスが出ています。
コルトンプラザ（メディアパーク）から終点の動物園まで１時間程掛かりますが、運賃１５０円で運んでくれます。（ルート途中、JR市川大野駅にもバス停があります。）
土・日のみJR本八幡駅からの京成バスもあります。

冬は野鳥観察が楽しい。

夏は蛍観察。秋は普段は入れないモミジの林で紅葉見物。冬は植物が枯れて野鳥が見やすくなります。アオジ、ヤマガラ、カワセミなどきれいな野鳥がたくさんいますよ。

ホタルが見れます！

大町公園と言われると、ピンと来ませんが、市川市動植物園、自然博物館、水生植物園、バラ園、自然観察園、鑑賞植物園、フィ－ルドアスレチックありのみコ－スの総称みたいです。
毎年、ホタルが見れます。6~7月になったら、HPで調べてみてください。駐車場は有料でしたが、今では都心では見れません。すごい場所です。

こんな身近にバラ園が

動物園は娘たちと孫を連れて、よく行きます。なかよし広場でハムスターやウサギと触れ合えます。
今回はバラが見頃と聞き、はじめて行ってみました。思った以上に素敵なバラ園で、ちょうど見頃でした。
山百合やホタル観賞、秋にはもみじも観賞できるということなので、行ってみたいと思います。
500円の駐車料金を払えば、動物園以外は、無料で入れます。

市川動植物園の隣です

市川動植物園の隣にある大町公園。
駐車場代はかかりますが、こちらの施設は無料で利用できます。
公園の奥には池がありキレイな鯉が泳いでします。
都心に近いですが樹木の多い公園です。

大好きな公園です。

都心から千葉に引っ越して5年ほどたちますが、今も何度も訪れています。いわゆる自然そのままの自然園。昔の北総の雰囲気を残しているのではないのでしょうか？一番びっくりしたのは、それまで図鑑でしか知らなかった昆虫・ナナフシを小学生が捕まえているのを目撃した時でした。大きな野生のナナフシ、印象が強いです。

自然が大変きれいで公園でありながら自然体なところが魅力です
