I had been wanting to explore more of the Chiba coast, and we decided to take a day trip to Choshi in the new year. Quite desolate and bracing in the winter, there's a lot to see in the area, especially around the cape. Good fish and seafood too, of course.

Very nice walk along the ocean. The pathway start nearly from kanko hotel until lighthouse which is a beautiful 20min walk on the shore.

Came here on a sunny public holiday. Yet not many people. It's really fun exploring the coast and would definitely come in Summer. Also it's good for those who like fishing.
