If you are into your military vehicles It is an excellent place to visit, they have some nice kit, although some of it is a little dusty. Some kit for the kids to dress up in and old guns for them to hold. They run military vehicle driving days as well. £9 entrance fee seems fair, but we walked around in less than an hour, but we were the only ones in the museum at the time...

A surprising find whilst travelling in Leicestershire. An extensive collection of tanks and APCs dating from WE2 to modern times. The exhibits are a bit jammed together, but there are fresh spaces being developed for future expansion.
There are a number of Scorpion light tanks that you can book a have a go at driving… in fact, there seemed to be more of them at Armourgedden than in our modern British army!

Bought as a family Christmas present and ended up at Armourgeddon on Fathers’ Day. Easy to find and very well organised. Clear social distancing and simple but enforced safety. Booked for the tank paintball, opportunity to drive a ‘tank’ and then fire paintballs at your opponents in a drive and fire battle. Fun from start to finish, Wayne and Will our instructors were excellent and ensured we got the most from the day. There is also a really good military vehicle museum covering WW2 and the Cold War - arrive early so you can appreciate the collection. A really good day out - thank you Armourgeddon!

My fiancé booked the tank driving experience for me for xmas but due to covid had to wait until now to do it but it was worth the wait !
I had a fantastic time and loved every minute of it.
The staff are really nice people who explain everything so well, you feel everything is so well controlled but not restricted as you get to put an 18 ton vehicle through its paces.
Nick was my instructor who was also being assessed as an instructor on the day, and I must say was cracking bloke, very knowledgeable and professional and a nice guy to boot.
The museum has some great armoured vehicles and is well laid out. The baguettes from the little café were also nice and tasty.
To summarise, its a great experience with good people and I shall be back with my mates for my stag do.
reccomended.

Booked a tank ride experience for my son as he loves his history. We had a great time with our instructor Elliot who was very informative about the equipment. My son is now the youngest driver we think, as although he is only 14 he is really tall and and to his delight they decided to let him drive . The whole staff were really great and are friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend 👌 the museum is filled to the brim with interesting collections to kill time while you wait too.

This venue was so well placed to meet our friends before we had lunch at the White Lion pub. A great way to spend a couple of hours.
The museum was small but a little gem to view a few of the olden tanks from past. Then there was space outside to sit and view the tank range which my 1 year old definitely enjoyed.
The staff on site were great and given it is such a small location they catered really well for Covid and it felt comfortable and safe.
Great job

A really enjoyable visit for anyone into army tanks, vehicles or World War II. We bought two experiences for our son’s 18th as he loves anything to do with WWII. He got to both drive a tank and then have a paintball battle firing balls from the canon. The staff are really friendly and knowledgeable. The whole visit was well organized. The museum is worth a visit too with lots of different vehicles and WWII memorabilia on display. A number of the tanks have been restored by the team.
Shout out to Nathan and Charles who looked after us. And Charles - your strategy in the battle worked with us winning 12-11 in hits!

£9 each including children is too much for a very small collection.
A variety of tanks and equipment, but almost no interactive exhibits so not ideal for children.
Compared to other similar places this does not compete.
Tank rides are available for over 8’s only, and £30 each additional fee.

The 'taster' experience of tank driving was very well managed under the guidance of a very friendly member of the team. The museum collection was larger than I had anticipated and the information about the vehicles was at the right level of detail. The downside was that it was a bit cramped and difficult to get a good view, particularly of some of the larger vehicles.

Wife bought me a Tank Driving experience, wasn't to sure what to expect to be honest.
Anyways arrived early, time to look around the expansive museum. Really great with all the exhibits in an atmospheric setting.
At the alloted time Ben, our instructor, was on hand to give us our protective overclothes and helmet along with a brief, but thorough safety briefing.
Heading out to the tank, it was an AFV with turret, clambered in. Just as well we all had helmets on there are plenty of things to bump your noggin on.
There were 3 in my group, took in turns to drive 2 laps of a very wet and rutted field but AFV took in its stride. Driving was straightforward 2 levers for steering and a large accelerator pedal. When you were a passenger we sat peering out of the turret.
All in all a very enjoyable experience made even more so with an enthusiastic and friendly instructor.
I would certainly go back for another drive. Thanks.

Is there a way to get to the museum without driving? My husband and I would like to visit, but we will not have use of a car? Thanks.

You need to ring them or look at website because after October they have reduced opening hours. On the website it says they may take group bookings. It is well worth a visit.
