    From 200HRS in 2017 to 300HRS in 2023
This was my second trip to Nepal yoga Academy. I first came here in 2017 for my 200HRS which served as a stepping stone for me in my journey to teach. This time around, I felt a strong urge to be a student again and I decided to choose Nepal yoga Academy again for my 300HRS. I'm so glad I did. My 300hrs training course was beyond yoga. Guruji helped me navigate through many personal battles. Guruji and Vivek helped me face my fears in specific Asans which was liberating. What you learn here is authentic and this is one of the main reasons why I chose to be here again. The staff is warm and welcoming . It was a pleasure to see the same team and some wonderful new faces. Guruji, Vivek and Rukesh are beautiful human beings, who go beyond their means to help you. Oh I miss the food!! You are fed fresh organic food which honestly helps in the inner and outer transformation you go through. Delicious flavours and endless servings haha.. You need to force yourself to stop. I miss the muesli big time! It's the best I've had. What I personally love about this training is that you are educated not just about the Asans (Postures) but also the philosophy of Yoga and the importance of Breathwork (Pranayam). I've made pranayam an integral part of my practice and I would recommend all the students to learn it by heart and continuing the practice for their internal growth . It helps you realise a lot about yourself and your surroundings. It makes me so happy that I've seen This academy grow into a wholesome place that brings you back to yourself. My best wishes to the entire team and I will be back again :)

From Shyness to Self-Discovery: My Story with Nepal Yoga Academy
Nepal Yoga Retreat and Academy has been a profound encouragement for my personal and spiritual growth. Before joining their teacher training course, I struggle with introversion and shyness, and yoga was an uncharted territory for me. However, through their expert guidance and complete curriculum, I not only discovered the profound depth and beauty of yoga but also found a new purpose in life. The academy's friendly environment, set amidst breathtaking natural scenery, and the delightful, nourishing meals served, added to the overall sense of well-being during my stay. Thanks to Nepal Yoga Retreat and Academy, I've undergone a remarkable journey of self-discovery, transcending my introverted nature to find immense joy in guiding others on their own yoga journeys. This institution is a light of transformation and spiritual growth that I am forever grateful for.

learned to breath new life -physically and mentally
I started my yoga journey 🧘‍♂️ in January 2023 with Nepal Yoga Academy, a time when I was caught up in the whirlwind of work pressures and battling my own laziness. My life was a repetitive cycle of work, eat, sleep, and repeat. I had no interest in any other activities, and my mind felt as dull as ever. I had always considered yoga to be something reserved for older individuals and dismissed it as not suitable for someone like me. However, in January, I decided to take the plunge and started learning yoga at the center. I started my 200 hours YTT course. It was a step into the unknown, and my introverted nature made it even more challenging. But it was during this journey that I began to realize the true power of yoga. My friend, who had been an active and confident individual thanks to meditation, served as an inspiration. Thanks to Nepal Yoga Academy and its team🙏. It is a truly sacred place for someone who have the courage and right determination to upgrade into more blissful and spiritual lifestyle. this place is surrounded by forest and Holy temple, that provides a perfect place to emerge into the practice and teaching of yogic way of living. The food here is so delicious as they prepare different dishes for every days which is completely yogic and nutritious. The practice of asana, pranayama, meditation and sound healing supported me to develop my understanding and clarity day by day. As I dived deeper, I discovered a whole spectrum of practices beyond what I had initially thought. From sound healing to cleansing techniques, asanas to pranayama, and many more, I felt like I was finally learning to breathe again—both physically and mentally. Coming here, one of the most remarkable changes was the transformation in my social life. Yoga introduced me to new people, and through these interactions, I started to improve myself in ways I had never imagined. I was still battling with my inherent laziness, but each day brought small victories and improvements. In retrospect, I now see that yoga isn't just for older individuals; it's a path to self-discovery and personal growth for people of all ages. It's a holistic approach that rejuvenates not only the body but also the mind and soul. My journey might have started with skepticism and a dull mind, but it has evolved into a continuous quest for self-improvement, and I am grateful for the positive changes it has brought into my life. From April, I even started teaching yoga myself. This newfound interest led me to explore various aspects of yoga, including sound healing, cleansing techniques, asanas, and pranayama, among others .Yoga breathed new life into me, quite literally. It felt like I was rediscovering the art of breathing.

Best gift I’ve ever given myself.
This is probably one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for myself. It is an absolutely beautiful place to visit and learn the yogic teachings. The staff is so kind and helpful in every way and the teachings are far beyond what I ever expected. The food is true to good health, the classes are well thought out with amazing instructors and are geared to any level of experience. The accommodations are beautiful with spectacular views!! There is a spa as well and they continually offer their service to give you the best experience you could possibly have. If you want to go sight see they will arrange that for you too. I just can’t say enough about this retreat. Don’t let age stop you!! I’m 65 and there was someone else there also of that age. It’s a great place to get certified or just visit with the added features of the yogic teachings available to you. I highly recommend this experience. 10 out of 10 !!

    Transformative experience
The place is lovely and the staff are really helpful and friendly. It was a transformative experience and I learnt a lot about not only yoga, but myself as well. The support of the teachers is unmatched and they helped me to start implementing meditation. The days were long, but it was a fun journey alongside other people in the same position and I certainly made really good friends. The food was really nice and they catered for my allergies. The vibe of the place is wonderful with beautiful views and a spiritual atmosphere. I went back to visit because I enjoyed it so much! Even though there is no laundry facility, they tried to help me, but this is something to keep in mind if you would struggle to wash your clothes for a month like I did (you can drop it in Kathmandu for the day or send it to Nagarkot). Samit and Rukesh were really helpful in coordinating everything like day excursions and meeting Samit as well as the rest of the team was a highlight for me. I would recommend it for the yoga teacher training - I feel more confident in my ability to teach now as well as self-practice yoga and meditation. Thank you

    True yogic experience
I still feel words can’t express everything I experienced at the Yoga Academy. If you are seeking a genuine training in yoga and are ready to challenge yourself, study, and grow within, this is the perfect place to do so. We meditated everyday, practiced asana and pranayama, studied philosophy and anatomy while also having beautiful moments with the teachers and everyone who makes a part of the Academy. We went out on trips to nearby Bhaktapur, Nagarkot (to see the Himalayas) and even a long bridge and waterfall. Truly, I have become a yogi who is confident, centered and have the resources to always return to my heart and am I am grateful to everyone who was a part of my time there. The food is delicious, the views are breathtaking and I have knowledge and memories that help me on my path. 🙏🏼 Thank you

The excellent teacher with full of knowledge.
I learnt a lot about actual yoga by joining the yoga teacher training in a lovely environment, naturally beautiful location, away from a noisy city area. Teaching technique was excellent & so professional. Schedule setting up, House keeping, Serving food were excellent. Not only the teachers but also all staffs were so friendly, helpful and attentive towards the students always. I would like to share my big thanks to all teachers and also love to extend my special thanks to the whole so helpful lovely staffs. Sun Tamang

Positive: food is good, never get hungry, just after a week, the flavour gets the same, taste bud feels bored.

Negative: Chintamni the so called PhD, has no knowledge about philosophy, he only has expensive car, big house, golden airplane in his head. His head is empty except those things. You know some people who studied phd and started business and never learned anything after that. All he does is to accumulate wealth, and he is teaching you self realisation, how funny. He has the biggest ego in the world. Philosophy is poorly taught. They teach many asanas, but not correctly. The teaching technique is like you went to a yoga class, not a yoga teacher training class. Which would you choose? Learn 100 asanas incorrectly, or 30 asanas correctly?

He is very loud, gives me headache. He is a very good businessman. He takes students, make students comfortable, give them certificates, and take photos and post online.

Be careful guys!

I was blessed and fortunate to do this amazing comprehensive and complete 200 hours of YTT course from Nepal Yoga Academy with Dr chintamani guruji.Where I spent my 1 month during this pandemic in this beautiful peaceful place located on a mountain side with his family. I didn't feel that I am away from home and treat me as a family member during this covid -19 and celebrate dashain and put tika from guruji hand. Morning begins with satkarma (jalneti).Daily practice of pranayama asana are energizing. Guruji always help me and understand a new or difficult concept, no matter how long it takes, whether it is an our philosophy class or in workshop of the asanas. Progression of yoga skills appear natural and smooth overtime. I learned to emerge in this present moment fully activated and at peace within my body and mind and know more about myself. I highly recommend this course, if one is serious about learning. And it is the best place I recommend in Nepal where you can learn more about yoga in deeper way ,the ancient philosophy, satkarma, workshop of asans, pranayam and meditation in peaceful nature .

I recently completed my YTT from nepal yoga academy(june-july) and the experience was surreal. It changed my self proclaimed perception about yoga not just in terms of philosophy but diving deep into it's spiritual, methodical and core values.Yoga has always been very close to my heart but after being there for almost a month i have started religiously worshipping it, given the knowledge and wisdom i have been imparted.
I am more than thankful to all my fellow friends who became a family in such a short course of time, all the lovely staff members and especially guruji for changing my life and for better.
To anyone who wants to learn yoga and dive deeper into it's core essence,Nepal yoga academy would be a great choice also looking at it's unique geographical placement in such a peaceful and green environment away from the chaos of the city.I had a wonderful time and will always hold on to that experience and memory for life.
Thank you so much☺

I recently completed my 200 hour YTT at Nepal Yoga Academy and I had the most incredible journey. The course has been perfectly designed and has provided me with not only an in-depth knowledge of asan practice but also entailed pranayam, yogic philosophy, anatomy, yogic diet and so much more. With that, we were provided with insightful books to take home for our own self study.
Accompanied by this were many light-hearted, fun days for a well balanced month of work and play!

It is an honour to have been taught under an extremely professional and knowledgeable Guruji - Dr Chintamani Gautam. I am eternally grateful to him for sharing his knowledge and wisdom with us, for challenging us, for motivating us, for supporting us, for making us laugh and for loving us. Not forgetting his wonderful team who also worked so diligently in order to make our experience truly exceptional and supremely memorable. Although the course was challenging and tiring at times, being surrounded by such magnificent people made the difficult days a lot more manageable.

The academy itself is beautifully situated in the valley with stunning views of the hills in the distance. The rooms are clean and spacious, the food is made with love and is absolutely delicious, the gardens are very well maintained and the energy flowing through the academy is immaculate.

If you are considering going to the academy, whether it’s for teacher training or a retreat, I would highly recommend; you will not be disappointed!!

Namaste !
I did my 200 hours YTT course at Nepal yoga academy with Dr. Chinthamani Gautam. He is a great Guru who has good technique to teach . I was with my wife to do yoga course and it was amazing . The way of his teaching and phyosophy, Asana , Singing mantra was just simply heart touching. Offering techniques and advice on safe practice has given me lot of courage while I do the course to become myself .
He treated us as his own family , through that we had good understanding between guru and student . Classes started always on time , food was so delicious and
Fresh . All the staffs were very nice and friendly .
It was in small groups and guru ji had time to assist each students. The surroundings around the retreat are stunning. Beautiful and greenery.

Actually one of the best thing what happened in my life is to meet Dr. Chinthamani Gautham . I strongly reccomand this place to learn yoga for yoga lovers .
Thank you 🙏

If you are looking for an escape from the chaos of the city or looking a peaceful place to calm yourself or to further your yoga practices or spiritual journey Nepal yoga Academy can be ideal place for you.
I did my Yoga teachers training last year and the place is quite and peaceful, not that far from the chaos of the city though.
Amazing teachers, learning environment is good and staff are friendly. And you will enjoy the food during your stay :) great news for foodie 🤣
The knowledge of yoga was deepened as I have got to spend time with Guru ji and put forward my curiosity even after my regular class. He was very helpful and generous. Even this day, when I am in Nepal, I visit him and the yoga place and the bond with him has been like a family now.
Great place to practice yoga. Those who are looking for a place to enhance their knowledge and practices about yoga, this place is for you. Namaste 🙏
