The good: Really nice walks through the woods, and dunes. The bad: The National Trust car park is ridiculously expensive. The disappointment: We didn't see any red squirrels. Perhaps too many children?

Despite being there on a sunny bank holiday, the woods are big enough to feel relatively alone. We did not see the squirrels but it was a nice walk around with our little one.

The numbers here visiting the beach (and littering etc.) are too high now and something should be done. They mean the chances of seeing a red squirrel is now extremely low, and contributing to erosion of the dunes. There are other beaches, and other woodland...More

Always top of our list for a visit. Love the squirrels - we have always seen about a dozen running around. Its not far from sand dunes so you can combine visiting the seaside at the same time.
