Help Out to Eat Out

Corona virus safe distance restaurant/Pub. We visited this Pub on several occasions during this month and have felt very safe regarding tonsocial distances both inside and outside tables. Whilst the menu is restricted during these difficult times, the food served up was excellent and hot. Service with a smile.

No squirrels
Dec 2019
It was a beautiful walk around the beach and pinewoods but unfortunately there were no squirrels present. Hope they haven't all died off again.

Late night walk
Oct 2019 • Friends
Me and my friends decided to go on a late night walk around half 11 at night through here, parked the car up, in the car park outside of the pine tree entrance, where it was visible there was no one else there and went in, about 20 mins into our walk while we where a fair bit into the woods we heard what seem to be a man laughing *VERY LOUD* this literally lasted about 5 seconds and then we heard a little girls voice again loud as if it was next to us, saying “nerrrrr nerrr na ner ner” honestly me and my 3 friends ran as we where that terrified, we found our way out of the woods and on to a street, feeling safer due to the light, and walked back to our car using the main roads. Has anyone has experienced anything like this before? I go here all the time in the day with my family etc but never has anything occurred like that and I would advise people not to walk through there after dark as we where with two boys who take a lot to be scared and they where as equally scared as us.

Fabulous woodland walks
Sep 2019 • Couples
Just enjoyed a lovely day out wandering through the woodlands here searching for red squirrels 🐿. Managed to find a perfect quiet spot and had squirrels running all around us, just beautiful. On a negative however, there are signs everywhere telling visitors to keep their dogs on a lead which seemed to be ignored by most people, which continuously scared the squirrels and was very frustrating. Should dogs be allowed at all in the woods if they cannot be controlled? There are areas for dogs around the woods and on the beach, so why allow them in the woods? Also as a result there is dog mess everywhere, again not pleasant. National Trust should look at this I feel to continue to have this space as a wonderful nature walk for all.

easy day trip from Liverpool
May 2019
Lovely, out in nature, and perfect for a non-rainy day. Lots of paths, known for its red squirrels. Tranquil and fun even if you don't get to see the red squirrels. Part of England's National Trust, too.

Get your camera ready
Dec 2018 • Couples
Armed with a large bag of monkey nuts, we arrived at the pinewoods for 10am which is feeding time. The squirrels were out in force ready for their breakfast. After many nuts had been thrown and eaten as we walked around, we stood still for quite some time throwing out the occasional monkey nut. The squirrels came closer and closer until they took them from my partner’s hand. They are so quick and to see them up so close made our hearts warm.
