Customer Service abysmal.
Turned up Sunday 19th at around 15:00.
Owner was stood in the doorway with his arms folded. Would not let us in because of our dog and said ‘you’re not coming in with that!’ Embarrassing.
Will not be visiting again.
This place needs some customer service training. Pronto.

Call into Beer Station yesterday. I presume person serving was the owner as he was very rude I decided not to have a drink so went back Beer Den on Duke Street totally different atmosphere. So won't be going back to Beer Station again

Having been away from Formby for a while I have been keen to visit this place. Visited yesterday evening with friends and was not disappointed. Beer, crisps, nuts and pies. What more does a pub need. Keir doing a brilliant job running this place. I will be back.

Paid my sixth visit to this great little drinking hole yesterday and I have never been disappointed. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, within yards of Freshfield Station and superbly kept beers at reasonable prices. Good selection of work by local artists on display. A great addition to the neighbourhood! Well worth a visit.

There is nothing wrong with the Beer Station. The location is well chosen and only eclipsed by the choice of beers at sensible prices. The atmosphere is traditional and friendly I really thought real pubs had died until I chanced in here. Parking nearby but let the train take the strain its less than 50 yards away. There are few real pubs left anywhere now

I visited the Beer Station next to Freshfield railway station on Saturday afternoon & really enjoyed a chat with the owner Ian & some of the regulars. This is a really good friendly little pub & I can't wait to go back again, I'm just sorry I haven't made the effort to visit sooner, I can highly recommend.

I've made several visits to the Beer Station since it opened and have enjoyed every one.
There's always a good selection of ales on offer as well as bottled and draught beers, and the prices are very reasonable too.
It's a bit cosy on a Friday and Saturday evening, but everyone is friendly and table sharing is the norm in here.
On warmer evenings a pop up beer garden, or beer pavement, appears at the front - this is ideal for anyone wishing to compliment their pint with some fish and chips from across the road.
The added bonus of being next to Freshfield train station and Fisherman's Path means it's very easy to stop off at for some light refreshment after a long day at work or a walk along the coast.
A little gem that's well worth a visit.
