Basically the ruins of the redundant tonnara, though there remain the odd interesting architectural detail. This little corner, Marina di Avola, with couple of bars, restaurants, and fishmonger is the most pleasant part of that stretch of coastline.

While the old Tonnara is basically in ruins and can't be visited, the immediate area has recently seen an increase in nightlife, since the opening of new pubs and bars with live music... There's also a pretty good fish restaurant and a pizzeria. Might be...More

The place is a ruin. The beautiful arch that until last year orned the facade broken down during the last winter, but the authorities haven't done anything in order to rebuild it. It seems to be the normal behavior in this city.
