Really enjoyed our time in the knife museum, a huge array of historical knives and ancient swords to view. A MUST for Japanese sword and knife enthusiasts!

Absolutely loved it, an amazing array of knives and descriptions in English. There are also nearby smiths where you can watch the knives being forged, the forging was the best experience of my trip. Knives are of good value and, as expected, are amazing quality.

OK, so I do like my chef knives and possibly more interested than normal - it was interesting to see all the styles. I'd already purchased a few in Echizen and didn't feel tempted but there were plenty of good looking knives at good prices....More

The museum is a 15 minute walk from the train station. The 2nd floor sells the local knives which are about half the price you would pay in the US or Australia. They also have a sales assistant that speaks good English. There were about...More
