Beautiful temple surrounded in a beautiful forest. I talked with a women who was very welcoming and kind, and invited me to join a zazen meditation practice. I am looking forward to coming back.

My son and I visited this temple on our way back to the parking lot when we almost finished the hiking of Mt. Takakusa. A woman talked to us and we found that she was a wife of the priest of this Buddhism temple.
She was really kind to us to inform us that there are 3 cultural assets appointed by Yaizu city government in the site: 1) Temple Bell Tower (The base is constructed with stones. Built on 1706.) 2) Stone Tower (Installed on 1791.) 3) Sutra Storehouse (Built on 1771.) She also informed us that there's a big cedar tree aged more than 500 years.
We were very lucky because we could see the priest and chat with him, too. People in this temple are very friendly and kind.
As this temple is located at the base of the mountain, you may feel something spiritual there. Watching the temple buildings of more than 300 years ago must be a lot of fun.
