Grinpa is a small theme park with some rides, indoor playing area for children, outdoor snow areas, and some small cartoon characters museums/houses, etc. Children will have a great time, and parents can also enjoy the nice view of Mt. Fuji and some of the rides/ snow games. It is a good place for a family outing.

I was part of a tour group and we went to the Grinpa Amusement Park and were rewarded with a picture perfect view of Mt. Fuji. Coming from a tropical country, it was truly a wonderful experience for my daughter to frolic in the snow and to indulge in sleigh rides during our visit. The Sylvanian museum also afforded us... Was there in June and it was terribly lonely. I doubt that there were more than 10 families at the park and the only good thing is that you don't have to queue for any of the rides. The air was fresh and the close up view of Mt Fuji was the only positive:(

It was not easy for me to find out about this place in English, but luckily as I had enough determination and time I found the details of the shuttle bus, and got up at 5.30am to take the few trains to Gotemba station where it left from. I spent the whole 7 hours between buses there and was fully... More

We were nearby and saw broadband with view of Fuji San and tulips, so we decided to come over. Tulip square were slowly dying, entrance fee was too much for that scene. But I saw a lot of kids enjoying roller coasters and attractions. If you are without kids, choose the other place.

We spent four hours at Grinpa in late December. The sledding hill was fantastic for the kids (the snow is produced by a snow cannon at night). We also enjoyed the ice skating (although the skate rental was an extra 700 Yen pp after full admission price to the park). Four kids (under age 10) spent well over an hour... More

Yes, we are travelling approx. 4,800 miles from my hometown in Bangkok to be here. My daughter is a big fan of Sylvanian families. After looking many clips in youtube comparing between Grinpa and Disneyland, I asked her where you wanna go honey? Her answers is Grinpa. So, our journey begin. There are only few Thai visited Grinpa. So, there... More

As my friend is an adult collector of Sylvanian Families, she really wanted to go to the Sylvanian Families "theme park" (there's not really any adult roller coasters). We got the train from Tokyo (about £2 each which is super cheap) then got the bus from Grinpa but be warned that there is only ONE BUS. Do not miss it... More

From Gotemba Station, there is only one-bus that takes you to the park (departs ~9:10 AM; arrives ~9:59 A). You can buy tickets from the lady at the bus station window. They offer a Grinpa 1-day set 3600 yen for adult; 2350 yen for kids (includes round trip bus fare + park ticket. Bus departs from Grinpa ~4:37 PM) (if... More
