There are really many lions, bears and other animals in the park. Nice view of Mount Fuji could be seen. There is also close encounter with animals and feeding of kangaroos. Great for parents with young children. They will love the ride into the safari, a nice horse riding, taking picture with the giant hamster (capybara) and feeding the kangaroos

Our family had a great time here. We drove in our own rental car and you can go as many rounds as you want. The first time we drove around, the big cats (lions and tigers) were having their afternoon nap. We decided to go another round and we were in luck this time. The lions were actively roaming around... More

I went to the safari by my own car.The car ride from the Hakone to Mt. Fuji Safari park took about 1hr and 20 mins and you will pass by Gotemba Premium outlet if you are keen on visiting the branded 'factory outlet' in Japan. The zoo is pretty interesting if this is your first time to a "drive-thru" zoo.... More

This is the first time we experience this type of zoo which you are in the cage ( car or animal bus) and they are outside !!!! Recommend to rent a car to have better experience and you can go as many rounds as you can ! I drove 3 rounds !!!!

Drove through the safari twice and it was an amazing experience. We managed to witness a cheetah trying to sneak over to the Herbivore section and they are FAST !! The kids had a great day at the park. Highly Recommended !!

The place is not big... However, we do like the Safari. Many lions, tigers, bears... in various enclosures. The animals did come very close to the cars... and the kids love it. In the park, there's a nice area for picnic. We brought our own food. A good place for quick stop and lunch....

The entire safari Park is clean and well maintained. Few animals are in open space. The best part is we can feed animals like lion beer etc.

It was not a place we planned to go at first as it was not widely talked about by travelers . A local suggested this place and we thought why not. It was a real awesome experience as you are so close to the safari animals. And to take photos with Mt Fuji is just as beautiful. My family loved... More

Wow what a safari alright! Inside big buses where you feed bears and lions with long metal tongs right through the bars of the bus! Awesome. Baby lions were there to hold and were so gorgeous. The altitude did get to me though and I was sick for days after this visit. Will definitely go back next time in Japan.
