The place is not big... However, we do like the Safari. Many lions, tigers, bears... in various enclosures. The animals did come very close to the cars... and the kids love it. In the park, there's a nice area for picnic. We brought our own food. A good place for quick stop and lunch....

The entire safari Park is clean and well maintained. Few animals are in open space. The best part is we can feed animals like lion beer etc.

It was not a place we planned to go at first as it was not widely talked about by travelers . A local suggested this place and we thought why not. It was a real awesome experience as you are so close to the safari animals. And to take photos with Mt Fuji is just as beautiful. My family loved... More

Wow what a safari alright! Inside big buses where you feed bears and lions with long metal tongs right through the bars of the bus! Awesome. Baby lions were there to hold and were so gorgeous. The altitude did get to me though and I was sick for days after this visit. Will definitely go back next time in Japan.

We visited safari park near Mount Fuji with our kids 13 and 9 on 2 June. Drive from Tokyo took ~1h 45mins with nice scenic view of Mount Fuji and surrounding mountains. Paid less than ¥10,000 for 3 adults, 2 students and car. Drove car into safari and had close encounter with animals. The concept of park is really good,... More

We got lucky, so not so much people for the end of golden week. My husband was happy to see a lot of animals so close. I enjoyed the opportunity to drive private car in safari area.

We went on a spring break outting yesterday with My family. In their advertising they pump up the idea they have an Elephant swimming pool. It wasn't open for the elephants. The water in it was dirty and covered with algae. They are also living on all cement no dirt and grass enclosure. Lots of the animals are stressed and... More

An amazing experience for animal lovers! This place was advertised on a brochure when we checked into out hotel in Gotmba recently. There are a few options for the type of visit, either do-it-yourself or on public transport. We didn't have a car this visit, so we opted for the public transport option. Combined bus/safari park entry tickets were purchased... More
