It is calm and worth a visit to see the old buildings with a small canal and bridges. You can also find an old temple behind these old buildings. Good place for camera shoot.

A great showcase of traidtional Japanese streets. There are cute cafes and shops along the road. Great place to visit in the summer for the hydregans. Recommend the antique shop!

A little quaint street follows a water canal, intersected by small bridges that connect the walking paths found on both sides. Worth to visit if you are going to Shimoda.

Very cute and walkable paved road next to a carp-filled canal. Quaint and charming, plenty of photo ops.

Pretty enough but not sure the fuss over this area. There are cafes along the walk but the street seems quite lifeless and i almost felt it was meant for tourists only..

A nice little stroll with several places to eat and shop. The Black Ship Monument and museum is on this road as well.

Nice place to spend an hour (or two, if you want to eat something). It's a perfect place for slow-walking. The public toilet is a must-go. It's soooooo crazily clean! Tip::: Walk towards the end of the road and go up the steps and you...More
