堀川にかかる桜通の橋のすこし南にある橋です。堀川七橋と呼ばれる堀川開削当時からかけられていた橋の一つで、橋のそばに案内板があります。

歴史のある堀川にかかる橋の１つです。堀川はもともと庄内川から取水する運河らしいですが、江戸時代にはかけられたようです。その後、大正期に現在の端になったようです。大正時代の端が観察できるようです。ちゃんと説明文があるのもいいですね。
