I was taken here by my hosts. Luckily, I had a translator in Hebrew and English....cos the whole thing is written in Japanese and the guide gave the talk in Japanese. The place is a wonder...and they have clearly put a dump load of money into building this Museum - which explains about the History of Rice Vinegar in Japan. The films are good ( and a translation is not so needed). The "put a picture of yourself on a Rice Vinegar bottle" at the end is also a nice souvenir. I would say that if in Handa...this is a nice place to go.......JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A TRANSLATOR WITH YOU!!!!!

The museum requires admission fee and reservation. But they usually offer the free admission day twice a month. We don't have to make a reservation at the day. Check the official web site and look for the words "自由見学" in order to know the day. AFAIC, I felt short on fun. Though I don't know whether it's more interesting on the ordinary business day. You can buy an original bottle of ponzu sauce for 200 yen. It could be a good souvenir.
