40 minutes away from Wroclaw. The nearest peak visible from the city. Walk up takes from hour up to 90 minutes with children. On the top is shelter and space to burn grill. Tourist comes with sausages and do barbecue. Walk down takes 60-75 minutes. Trip from Wrocław, ride, climbing up, walking down and back takes 5 hours.

A live nearby and I exactly know what does rhid mointain can offer. There is many ways to get on the top by foot, by run, by bike and in winter by nordic skiing. All the year during the weekend you can meet people who have a picnic or make a fire. Lovely place for active persons and good occasion for spend free time outside in fresh air

This is the closest and most impresive mountain in Wrocław vicinity. Visible for miles even if it's only 717 meters high. Always been surrounded by some kind of mistery, with all unexplained stoned sculptures and remains of cult dikes on top of it. Many colour marked trails lead to the top of the mountain, which is surprisingly heavily urbanised for such elevated place, and extremely busy on warm weekend during whole year, and every day in the summer. There's a tourist lodge with some basic food and same basic accommodation, there's also a church, disused for many decades, now being brought back to life with ongoing refurbishment. Entry to church tower with tickets only, but worth the money and the hassle, as views are amazing, with Karkonosze ridge being visible on clear days.

The climb on the red route from Sabotka is in trees the whole time, so is completely viewless. Nor are there views from the summit unless the church is open and you buy a ticket to get up the tower.

Bus from Wroclaw worked fine. Not obvious how to get to the trailhead. The billboard hand-painted maps around the village are no help whatsoever, but the local shop had a map for about 8Zl which worked fine. Nice day trip from Wroclaw.

716m hight, nice place to relax and nice view. There is a small church on the top and the view is worth the walk.

Following the advice I found on TripAdvisor I caught the bus to Sobotka from the bus station in Wroclaw and enjoyed an interesting "honeysuckle junction" ride across the featureless terrain.
Quite soon the eruption that is Sleza was visible through the window. On arrival in Sobotka I bought myself a drink and a bun and then followed the recommended red route up the mountain.
I walk regularly but the climb with it's variable ( at times difficult water damaged) surface and 350 metres of climb took fully the 2 hours that the instructions suggested.
Sadly on the weekday that I was there all the facilities at the summit were closed.
The descent was easier but still testing underfoot at times.
A thoroughly enjoyable trip which I would repeat.
Just beware though, as Jim Fix said " it's the hills that find you out".

Although its only 717 meters high it really takes time climbing up to the peak. On the way up, you have 11 cards pinned to the trees about Jesus' way to crucifixion. It can be used as a guide to how long more to reach the summit.

This place is hidden with some sort of mystery as well, along the way there are some stone sculptures believed to belong to some cult which is still being practised.

There is a refurbished church, a lodge to buy some food, be aware that the toilet on top is not the nicest you want to visit.

In the summer time, people usually sunbathe and picnic there. You can even set up a campfire for BBQ.

Nice hike even if the path could be better without all those rocks just thrown like this. A lot of you people at the top but it worth it
