Congtai park is a relaxing, and very well kept park in the centre of Handan. The old-style buildings, lakes and coi-carp ponds are wonderful and full of fantastic planting. Spent a few hours walking round this park in the spring sunshine. Nice gardens and a few places to buy refreshments, perfect place to relax and watch the world go by...

We met up with 2 other cars, just outside Jinan, one driven by Su Bin, the organiser of our trip and the other by Li Cheng, an ex policeman. Congtai is a lovely park in the centre of the city. It has a big lake where you can go on paddle boats and some ancient architecture. There is a zoo but avoid as the animals are very poorly treated.

Located almoust exactly in the city center park Congtai is one of the favourite places for locals. There is something for everyone: walking alleys, sports facilities, ponds with fish and to top it all - ancient wall from Zhao dinasty.
