Yandi Square has been upgraded in the past few years and is really lovely now. Landscaping, shops/restaurants, and activities (robots for kids to ride around on, some sort of golf course or driving range) make this a fun area to visit in Zhuzhou. We didn't spend much time here because we didn't realize how much it had changed since we last visited 8 years ago. Good for an afternoon or evening stroll.

Undoubtedly the most important square in the city, it has many outdoor activities for adults, seniors and children. Even for pets there is room. It has an imposing statue of Emperor Yan and the beautiful television tower. The night behind the square has the water show. It's worth the visit.

This is a beautiful area to visit at night,. The light show on the water fountains far surpasses the fountains at the Belegio in Las Vegas. This whole area is buzzing at night, a light fanatics dream! A must see!

I live right across the street and I must say that YanDi Square is one of the GREATEST places in Zhuzhou. It's definitely a must-see if you're visiting the city. There is a beautifully lit-up TV tower, a huge statue of Emperor Yan (who is thought of as the Ancestor of all Chinese people), and a huge lake with lots of walking trails and park areas. There is a nightly light show on the lake complete with pyrotechnics and music - it starts anywhere from 7:30pm to 8:00pm and lasts about 20 minutes. Definitely worth a visit!!

Visit near or just after dusk for a great effect with the lights. This is a landmark city square that is not to be missed on a nice day.

Yandi Square is the place to be in the evening either strolling, snacking, or people watching. Many couples come in the evening to dance.

This is where the very impressive statue of Shennong resides. With a height of just under 20 metres you can see why this is a must for visitors. great views down the main street and a nice shopping mall attached.

A little out of the city, so by taking the T2 bus from opposite the Wangfujing Building, you can get there for about 1 or 2 Yuan. Especially impressive and night and rather hot in summer time during the day due to all the concrete.
