As a piece of architecture, there is nothing to see here. Any trace of the original structure is buried under a cheap and cheerful mall that runs from one end of the bridge to the other.

This is definitely the landmark of Ya'an. If you are into running I would reckon running through the 3 bridges along the river and this is one of them. Sufficient to run a 21k. Total going 2-3 rounds on the 3 bridges by the river.
Always under construction, the Yazhou Gallery Bridge has a covered walkway with several high end shops to entertain your curiosities.
Coffee shops, restaurants, tea shops, hand bags, leather goods, wood carvings, and a bathroom should give you something to do.
